DOWNDERRY

Downderry  is a village approximately 18 miles from the city of Plymouth with Plymouth of course being in Devon so it is not far from Devon too. There are views of  Looe Island and Rame Head from the village and sometimes one can also see the Eddystone Lighthouse too.. Downderry is  approximately one mile from Seaton.
There are two churches in the village with one of the churches dating from the 19 th century.
In fields behind the village there are   neolithic earrthworks known as a cursus  earrthwork, being the only one known to exist in Cornwall. The Cornish spelling for the village is Donderri.
The village is near Looe and Polperro.
