BUDE
Bude is one of
the favourite cornish resorts, popular for its miles of large classic
sandy beaches. The premier beaches are Summerlease and Crooklets.
Summerlease beach has the largest free open air swimming pool in the
country and also, on the Breakwater, a smaller swimming pool built into
the breaqkwater known as St Thomas's Pit (originally a victorian pool
for male bathers only)! Both beaches have impressive modern cafeterias
offering an array of quality and modern style food. Crooklets beach is
the main surfing beach- being on the Atlantic coast there is huge waves
for surfing and this is where the swurf championships are often held.
