Haven
sandy beach & 7 miles to Widemouth Bay sandy surfing beaches.

bedrooms.
The farmhouse is situated in rural countryside on a side
lane,
on a 210 acre sheep and cattle farm. There are plenty of fields
&
areas for children to roam. Ideal for holidaymakers who
want
the peace and quiet of the countryside but yet be in easy reach of
beaches
& the scenic coastline. A picturesque walk is to take the
lane
leading from the farmhouse (impassable to cars) down to the ford &
tiny stream. River walks, elevated wooded areas and a secluded
good
size farm lake 100 yards long (coarse fish-restocked 2004) fed by the
stream.The
lake isnt open to the public, makes a nice setting for picnics.
Wainhouse
Corner 2 miles away has a coaching Inn, shop & garage. There is an
impressive & enclosed new (2005) farm play area on the farm with
swings,
climbing frame etc.

"Trevern Bungalow" is a higher
standard
detached bungalow situated just outside St Merryn
Village
3 miles from Padstow, Cornwall. Only 2 miles from superb beaches
at Harlyn, with many other good beaches such as Trevone
&
Tregarne within 3 miles.This is probably the best stretch of beaches in
Cornwall, with a magnificent coastline. Padstow is a delightful fishing
village, now more widely known courtesy of the T.V. chef Rick Stein who
has a fish restaurant in the village. Mackerel fishing trips available
from Padstow & there is a ferry which will take you across the
estuary
to the beaches at Rock.The little village of St Merryn has good pubs,
cafes
& shops. Short stroll to Indian restaurant with bar above. The
bungalow
has a good size enclosed surrounding lawn. Garden picnic table
and
bench in rear lawn. Parking bay for 1 car and parking on
lane
outside for several cars (plenty of room).

‘The Round House’ is a
luxury stone
cottage, a barn conversion , on the edge of fabulous & well known
Coombe
Valley (a favourite with ramblers) , 2 miles from Kilkhampton
village
and 5 miles from Bude, North Cornwall. A 2 miles walk via
footpaths
down through National Trust Coombe Valley to Duckpool beauty spot and
beach,
leading on to miles of coastal and beach walks - great for walkers.
Nearby
Bude is a beach resort, with large classic sandy beaches, a huge free
open
air beach swimming pool and other attractions associated with a resort
town. The cottage is in an attractive rural setting on a
working
farm, with grass gardens. Farm play field with goal posts & swings.
Approx 5 minutes stroll over to the farm’s 2 ponds.
One pond
(approx 66 yards long) was restocked with coarse fish during 2010
(tench,golden
rudd & carp). Tench up to 3 lbs and carp up to 10lbs. The second
pond
dates back to mediaeval times and was originally used as a carp pond by
monks in the 12th cenrtury and is one of the oldest carp ponds in the
country
(featured on a T.V. programme). The pond has now been set aside as a
nature
sanctuary and migratory birds including ducks commonly make an
appearance.
The ponds are in a pretty, wooded setting, making a great venue
for
picnics, fishing, or just to enjoy the scenery. The more
energetic
may enjoy the walk across the adjacent field (with panoramic views over
the countryside) along the footpath through the farm’s 13
acres of
woodland.
